PUBLICATION DESIGN

Pulse

Pulse is a social justice magazine that brings awareness to the lack of equal access in healthcare.

OBJECTIVE This project involved designing a publication centered around social justice, featuring a cover page, table of contents, feature article, and interview article.

WORDMARK DEVELOPMENT Early iterations explored different visual directions to communicate urgency while maintaining a sense of continuity and hope for the future of healthcare.

An italicized lowercase wordmark with an integrated EKG pulse reinforces curiosity, urgency, and the publication's healthcare focus.

VISUAL SYSTEMA visual system was developed to keep the main aspects of the magazine consistent from volume to volume.

DESIGN PROCESS
