Graphic Translation
of Binoculars

The goal of this project was to create an iconographic image of an object that breaks down the main components into its simplest forms and accurately conveys a visual message from an orthographic perspective.

Initial Sketches

Sketch in Orthographic Perspective

A sketch was done from the orthographic perspective, which uses a two-dimensional perspective to portray a three-dimensional object.

Line Articulation in Illustrator

The sketch was then used as a reference to create a vectorized line articulation in Adobe Illustrator.

Photoshop

The threshold was adjusted to the original image in Photoshop to highlight the key features of the binoculars in black and white. This was then used as a reference for the graphic translation of the binoculars in Illustrator.
